So!! Why the change of name from Alphasound to ReMARKable AV & Events after all these years? Alphasound was set up thirty two years ago and known locally as ‘Alphasound PA Hire’ – we hired out small public address systems to local hotels ect.
Over the next few years Alphasound grew into one of the North’s leading Audio Visual companies. We then became more nationally known with regular events throughout the UK, and indeed abroad. Following that, we emerged into a fully fledged Event Production Company. Moving on, approximately fifteen years ago, we broke into exhibition design and construction market along with a close partner company.
To coincide with our new warehouse and offices at Thorp Arch (equidistantly positioned between York, Leeds and Harrogate and close to the A1), and indeed our investment in new top-of-the-range audio visual & lighting equipment, and also an opportunity to reveal our new company logo & our new website , we wanted a name that was far more relevant to the events business rather than just a ‘sound company’.
We wanted a name with far more Impact. (We would like to stress to our many clients throughout the UK that there has been no ‘sale of business’ or ‘business merge’. This is a purely an exciting business re-brand to a much more relevant and appropriate name. We are holding on to smaller premises in York as well, so our local clients will have their usual punctual service)
